You’ve adjusted your life around your pain. It’s time to get it back.

Reduce inflammation with lifestyle changes

Less pain • Better movement • More energy

Plants for Health offers a clinically proven lifestyle program that reduces pain, stiffness, and disease activity. Built by the scientists at Amsterdam UMC who proved it works.

When you live with arthritis, you know it touches everything

The stiffness in the morning. The flare you did not see coming. The feeling that you are managing symptoms instead of living your life. You have probably been told that managing symptoms is the best you can do.

We know there is more you can do, and that it starts with how you eat, move, rest, and recover.

The method

This is The Inflammation Practice Program

Plants for Health teaches one method: The Inflammation Practice. A four-pillar approach proven to reduce disease activity — and the foundation of our 12-month program.

You don’t have to wait for a new prescription. Everything we do rests on one idea: when your daily habits work with your body instead of against it, inflammation has less room to take hold.

The Inflammation Practice turns that into four practical pillars — nutrition, movement, stress, and sleep — that you can start applying right away.

Created by the scientists who proved it works

The Inflammation Practice Program was developed by Dr. Wendy Walrabenstein (RD, PhD) and Dr. Carlijn Wagenaar (MD, PhD), together with rheumatologist Prof. Dr. Dirkjan van Schaardenburg. The same team that ran the research now guides you through the program.

Built on clinical research

The Inflammation Practice Program grew out of the Plants for Joints clinical trials, conducted at Reade Amsterdam Center for Rehabilitation and Amsterdam University Medical Center.

In the 4 month trials, people with arthritis had noticeably less joint pain and swelling than those getting usual care, and the benefits lasted up to two years. More than half were able to reduce their medication, in consultation by their doctor.

The Inflammation Practice Program brings that same approach to you, developed by the researchers and clinicians behind the trial.

Stories

Participants in our Program

These are real people living with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or chronic inflammation. They share what changed when they started reducing inflammation with lifestyle changes. In their own words. In their own language. Filmed in the Netherlands (with English subtitles).
