Plants for Health
At Plants for Health, we offer a program that can transform your life.
For whom is the program intended?
Plants for Health is designed for people with rheumatic conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. In the near future, we hope to expand the program to cover other conditions as well.
The program lasts for 5 months and provides additional support for up to 1 year after its commencement. Plants for Health is designed to support you in adopting a healthier lifestyle. And the best part is… scientific research has proven that it works!

Group Meetings
We know social support is essential on the journey to a healthier lifestyle. That’s why we offer ten group meetings during the five-month intervention period and 2 follow-up meetings in the rest of the year, where you can meet like-minded people with similar symptoms.
Our groups are intentionally small, with a maximum of 12 participants, so that we can give individual attention to everyone.
Individual Consultations & Assessments
Everyone faces unique challenges. During 4 personal consultations, with the first being a comprehensive intake session, our specialized dietitians and physiotherapists are ready to listen to your personal goals and specific situation. Together, we will work on a plan that suits you, focusing on nutrition, exercise, and relaxation.
Online Learning Environment
To deepen your knowledge and prepare well for meetings and consultations, we offer an inspiring online learning environment. Here, you will find valuable background information and engaging videos to further support you on your health journey.
Plants for Health Box
Our box is filled with “magazines” about nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and sleep. You’ll discover plant-based weekly menus and delicious recipes in the recipe book that will find a special place in your kitchen. If you’re not a fan of recipes, you can use your creativity and our nutrition plan to make your favorite dishes healthier.
At Plants for Health, everything revolves around your well-being. Our specialized coaches, dietitians, and physiotherapists are always ready to guide you towards a healthier, happier life. We are here to support you in achieving your personal goals and making sustainable improvements to your lifestyle.
Wholefood and Plantbased Nutrition
A whole food plan plant-based diet is the foundation of Plants for Health. Why? Because numerous studies have shown that people who follow a plant-based diet have a healthier weight, lower inflammation levels, improved blood sugar levels, healthier cholesterol levels, and lower blood pressure. Of course, this doesn’t apply to vegan cakes, ice cream, and various other processed foods. The dietary pattern is maximally unprocessed and complete: you obtain everything you need.
Exercise
We all know that exercise is beneficial, but how do you do it when you have joint issues, and is what you’re doing suitable for your joints? In Plants for Health, you’ll explore what activities you enjoy, how to get back into them, and which forms of exercise are most effective for you. More importantly, it’s about doing something you genuinely enjoy! After all, only when you enjoy it, you can incorporate it sustainably into your lifestyle. Plants for Health aims to have you engage in regular activities throughout the week (such as walking, cycling, swimming) and also work on muscle strength, balance, and flexibility.
Stress Reduction & Sleep
It’s not uncommon for participants to say, “But when I do a relaxation exercise, I feel the pain!” Often, this happens because we are accustomed to pushing the pain away and just carrying on. Only when you calm down, you may realize that you may have overdone it. This awareness of loading and capacity is an essential basis for finding peace and improving sleep. You’ll experiment with various relaxation exercises to figure out what works best for you, and our sleep training will teach you that good sleep starts in the morning when you wake up.
Effective for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis
Certainly, it’s a significant change, and it demands a lot from you. Fortunately, we have an amazing team ready to help you. Once you experience a decrease in disease activity, less pain, less stiffness, and improved physical functioning, you’ll know what it’s all for.
